What is the weight capacity of the EB Extraction Blanket?
The EB Extraction Blanket is constructed from 1000D triple-reinforced Cordura® and features industrial nylon webbing. In static load tests, it has comfortably handled over 1,200 lbs without structural failure. We recommend standard extraction procedures for safely moving patients up to 600 lbs depending on carry count.
How do I clean the EB Extraction Blanket?
The material is highly resistant to fluids and pathogens. For standard cleaning, use warm water and mild soap. For decontamination, the EB Extraction Blanket can be treated with 1:10 bleach solutions or standard medical-grade disinfectants. Air dry only - do not place in industrial dryers.
Does it come with a warranty?
Yes. Every original EB Extraction Blanket comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. If a seam fails or a strap breaks due to craftsmanship, we'll replace it. Normal wear and tear from deployment is covered by our refurbishment program.
Can I use this for vertical extractions?
The EB Extraction Blanket is primarily designed for horizontal and stairwell drags/extractions. It is NOT a calculated life-safety harness for high-angle or vertical rope rescue applications.
How many handles are there?
The blanket features 10 strategically placed handles: 4 at the corners for standard quad-carry, and 6 along the sides for team lifts or tight-space maneuvering.
Do you offer department trials?
Absolutely. We pride ourselves on the EB Extraction Blanket's performance. Contact our department specialist to request a T&E (Test & Evaluation) unit for a 30-day trial period.
How long does shipping take?
We offer standard shipping (5-7 business days, $15) and expedited shipping (2-3 business days, $35). Department bulk orders ship free on orders of 5+ units.
Can departments pay by purchase order?
Yes. We accept official department purchase orders and offer NET-30 payment terms for verified government and municipal agencies. Use the For Departments page to submit a quote request.
